Workday stores the signed copy and tracks it on the business process record.

It reads workers, candidates and job requisitions, writes workflow data back to Workday HR fields, creates pre-hires and files signed agreements to Workday records. The Workday Financials app from Docusign works with Docusign CLM for requisitions and supplier contracts. On Workday Marketplace, Docusign lists an Extend app that shows signed employee agreements in Workday.

Workday's integration and the apps from Docusign cover most teams. For the jobs below, a private app authenticates through a Workday API client, maps agreement data to each Workday operation and retries a call when Workday throttles it. Each job rests on an ability that Workday or Docusign documents, and we confirm it against your tenant during scoping.
After the signature, the private app calls Change_Job through Workday Web Services, and Workday runs the transfer or promotion through the Change Job business process.
After the candidate signs the offer, the private app calls Move_Candidate, and Workday moves the candidate to the next recruiting stage or to a disposition stage.
A Service step in the Workday business process triggers an orchestration in a Workday Extend or integration app, and the process can wait for it. The orchestration calls the private app, which starts the Docusign workflow from an API call.
Workday runs Sandbox tenants beside Production and refreshes the Sandbox tenant each week. The private app runs against your Sandbox tenant first, and we move it to Production after your review.
