Ashby integrations

Ashby integrations for Docusign, BambooHR, Rippling, Workday, ADP, Slack and Checkr come from Ashby. Ashby for Docusign IAM is in development at Fluidlabs. For other connections, we build and host a private integration for your team.

Ashby publishes and supports its own Docusign integration. On 27 September 2026 the Docusign App Center listed no Ashby app. Ashby for Docusign IAM is in development at Fluidlabs.

Hire to onboard, from the accepted offer to the first pay run

Four systems handle a new hire between the accepted offer and the first payday. BambooHR for Docusign IAM, our live app, can run the third step, and Ashby's own BambooHR sync pushes hires too. We build the payroll step as a private integration and host it for you.

Three patterns for an Ashby API integration

Each pattern rests on a documented part of Ashby's API. On the scoping call we pick one based on how soon the other system needs each change.

Webhook relay

Ashby sends a webhook for the event type you choose, such as candidateHire or offerCreate, and signs it with your secret token. A relay checks the signature and calls the other system.

Use it when the other system must react to a hire or an offer as it happens.

Incremental sync

A job passes the sync token from its last run, and Ashby returns the records updated since. Past 100 pages, Ashby rejects the incremental sync and asks for a full sync, so the job runs at least once a day, as Ashby recommends.

Use it for reporting, and for systems that accept a delay between runs.

Request-time lookup

The other system requests one offer from Ashby at the moment it needs the data, with the file handles for the signed documents. The API key carries read or write permission per module.

Use it when a form or an agreement needs the current values of one offer.

Ashby's API, as we design around it

We took each fact from the vendors' own documentation and listings. The sources list at the foot of this page links each one.

Verified on 27 September 2026.

Authentication
Each request uses HTTP Basic Auth, with the API key as the username and a blank password. An Ashby admin grants each key read or write permission per module, such as Candidates, Jobs and Offers.
Webhooks
Ashby sends a webhook per event type, such as candidateHire, offerCreate and signatureRequestUpdate, and signs it when you provide a secret token. Ashby retries a failed request with exponential backoff, up to 10 attempts.
API limits
Ashby limits the report.synchronous and report.generate endpoints to 15 requests per minute per organization. Ashby rejects an incremental sync that runs past 100 pages, which is 10,000 results at the default page size, and asks for a full sync. Ashby recommends an incremental sync at least once per day.
Test environment
Ashby provides a sandbox and technical support contacts to an integration partner after its legal review.
Marketplace listing
Ashby Integrations Directory. Ashby validates the partner's product and workflow after an introduction call, then runs a legal review. The partner demos the integration on a live call before Ashby publishes the listing.

Build, host, maintain

The engineers who build the integration also run it, so the people who answer your questions know the code.

  • Build

    • A scoping call, then a written scope.
    • A fixed price. Nothing bills hourly.
    • We build against a test account before production.
  • Host

    • We run it on infrastructure we operate.
    • We monitor it and version each deploy.
    • We can roll a deploy back.
  • Maintain

    • We patch the integration and keep it current.
    • We adapt it when a vendor changes its API.
    • One monthly plan covers hosting and upkeep.

FAQ

Ashby integrations, answered

What does Ashby integrate with?
Ashby's Integrations Directory lists Docusign, ADP and Checkr, among others. Ashby's knowledge base documents its syncs to BambooHR, Rippling and Workday and its Slack integration. Ashby supports Okta through SSO and SCIM. Zapier lists Ashby triggers and actions for connector automations. For a process no listing covers, we build a private integration on Ashby's API and host it for your team.
Does Ashby integrate with Docusign?
Yes. Ashby publishes a Docusign integration. It sends e-signature offers and documents through your company's Docusign account and shows the request status within the offer details. Ashby requires a Docusign account on the Standard plan or above. If your offers start in Ashby, use Ashby's integration first. Fluidlabs has Ashby for Docusign IAM in development.
Does Fluidlabs have an Ashby app on the Docusign App Center?
No. Ashby for Docusign IAM is in development, and we state no launch date. On 27 September 2026 the Docusign App Center listed no app for Ashby from any publisher. Ashby's own Docusign integration covers offers and e-signature documents today. For another Ashby connection, we build a private integration and host it for you.
Does Ashby integrate with BambooHR?
Yes. Ashby publishes a one-way sync from Ashby to BambooHR, available on all Ashby plans. After a candidate accepts an offer, a user adds them to BambooHR from their profile, or an admin turns on automatic pushes for hired candidates. Ashby states that it cannot send an amended start date after the push. Fluidlabs publishes BambooHR for Docusign IAM, a separate app that runs in Docusign Workflow Builder.
How does an integration authenticate with Ashby's API?
Each request sends an API key over HTTP Basic Auth, with the key as the username and a blank password. An Ashby admin grants the key read or write permission per module, such as Candidates, Jobs and Offers. Ashby signs each webhook with the secret token you provide, and it retries a failed request up to 10 attempts.
Can a Docusign workflow call another system's API without a custom build?
Yes, when the other system's API fits the step. On qualifying IAM plans, such as IAM Professional and above, Docusign Workflow Builder has a Make a Web Request step, and Docusign installs the HTTP app the step needs. The step sends GET, POST or PUT requests to another system's API. The Docusign guide "Configure a Make a Web Request Step" lists Basic Auth connections, and the Docusign overview, "Connect to Any Service Using Web Requests", also lists OAuth 2.0 client credentials. If your system's API accepts one of those connections and each call is one of those requests, a workflow can call it. We check that on the scoping call. A custom build covers other sign-in methods and request types, and work that runs outside a workflow.
How does Fluidlabs price a custom integration?
We agree a fixed price in a written scope before work starts, then a monthly hosting plan. You see both numbers in the same document. Nothing bills hourly.
Who hosts and maintains what Fluidlabs builds?
Fluidlabs does. The engineers who build a private app or integration run it, monitor it and patch it. You choose the US region, the EU region or both, and your data stays there. Docusign and the other publishers on this page run and support their own public apps. The security and compliance section on this page has our certificate and agreements to download, and a form to request our security overview.
