NetSuite integrations

NetSuite integrations come from SuiteApps in Oracle's SuiteApp Marketplace and from vendors such as HubSpot and Stripe. NetSuite for Docusign IAM is in development at Fluidlabs. For other connections, we build and host a private integration for your team.

Docusign publishes and supports Docusign for NetSuite in the SuiteApp Marketplace. On 27 September 2026 the Docusign App Center listed no NetSuite app. Fluidlabs has NetSuite for Docusign IAM in development and has published no NetSuite app.

Quote to cash, from the won deal to the paid invoice

A sale passes four steps between the CRM deal and the paid invoice. HubSpot's integration and Celigo's app create sales orders from CRM deals, and the Docusign SuiteApp files the signed PDF on a NetSuite record. For the step that turns the signed order form into a customer and a sales order, Make lists a Docusign Watch Envelope Completed trigger and a NetSuite Create or Update a Record action. We build that step as a private app for your Docusign account.

How a NetSuite API integration moves data

Oracle documents each mechanism below. We pick one on the scoping call, based on how fast the other system needs each change and how many records move.

User event relay

A user event script runs on the NetSuite server when someone saves the record, and posts the change through the N/https module to a relay endpoint. The relay calls the other system.

Use it when the other system must react to each save of a sales order or a customer.

Record transformation

The integration creates the sales order through REST web services, then turns it into an invoice for the fulfilled lines with one transform request that copies the order's data.

Use it when an event outside NetSuite, such as a signed order form, starts the order.

Idempotent asynchronous writes

Each write carries the Prefer: respond-async header and an idempotency key. If the integration retries after a dropped connection, NetSuite answers the repeat with a conflict that points to the first job.

Use it for volume, and for connections that can drop during a request.

Scheduled batch

A scheduled script runs on a recurring schedule set in 15-minute steps and moves the records its search returns in one batch. NetSuite submits the script at each time and runs it when the queue clears.

Use it for batch work such as renewals, where the other system accepts a delay.

NetSuite's API, as we design around it

We took each fact from the vendors' own documentation and listings. The sources list at the foot of this page links each one.

Verified on 28 September 2026.

Authentication
REST web services and RESTlets accept OAuth 2.0 or token-based authentication (TBA), and SOAP web services accept TBA but not OAuth 2.0. Oracle names OAuth 2.0 the preferred method. From release 2027.1 no new integration can use TBA for SOAP, REST or RESTlets, and existing ones keep working.
Webhooks
NetSuite's event mechanism is SuiteScript. A user event script runs on the NetSuite server when a user or a process creates, updates, deletes or submits a record, and Oracle lists real-time data synchronization among its uses. The N/https module sends content to a third party over HTTPS.
API limits
Oracle limits concurrent requests per account, and SOAP web services, REST web services and RESTlets share that limit. For contracts from June 2020 the base limit is 5 on the Standard service tier, 15 on Premium and 20 on Enterprise and Ultimate, plus 10 for each SuiteCloud Plus license. Development and partner accounts keep a base of five.
Test environment
A sandbox account copies the production account's setup, data and customizations, and a customer arranges one through its account representative. Development accounts never contain production data. OAuth 2.0 authorizations and TBA tokens from production do not carry over to a sandbox.
Marketplace listing
SuiteApp Marketplace. A SuiteApp reaches the SuiteApp Marketplace after three actions: a released version, a listing review that the SuiteCloud Developer Network approves, and a Built for NetSuite (BFN) review.

FAQ

NetSuite integrations, answered

What does NetSuite integrate with?
Oracle lists SuiteApps in the SuiteApp Marketplace after a listing review and a Built for NetSuite review. Other vendors publish NetSuite integrations of their own: HubSpot for deals, Stripe for payments, Ramp for spend and BambooHR for employee records. Make lists NetSuite for connector automations. For a process no listing covers, we build a private integration and host it for your team.
Is there a NetSuite Docusign integration?
Yes. Docusign publishes Docusign for NetSuite in the SuiteApp Marketplace. It sends documents from records such as opportunities, estimates and sales orders, and posts the signed PDF back to the record. On Docusign IAM plans, Make pairs a NetSuite record trigger with a Docusign action that starts a Workflow Builder workflow. NetSuite for Docusign IAM is in development at Fluidlabs.
Which NetSuite records does Docusign for NetSuite support?
The Docusign guide lists seven predefined record types that Docusign supports: Customer, Estimate, Invoice, Opportunity, Prospect, Purchase Order and Sales Order. An administrator can enable the Send with Docusign and Sign with Docusign buttons on other record types, and Docusign states that it does not guarantee functionality on them. For an agreement process that runs on a custom record, a private app we build for your Docusign account can read and write that record through NetSuite's REST web services, alongside Docusign for NetSuite.
Which authentication does NetSuite's API accept?
REST web services and RESTlets accept OAuth 2.0 or token-based authentication, and SOAP web services accept token-based authentication only. Oracle names OAuth 2.0 the preferred method, and from release 2027.1 no new integration can use token-based authentication. Oracle caps concurrent requests per account by service tier and SuiteCloud Plus licenses.
Can Fluidlabs be the NetSuite integration partner that builds and runs our integration?
Yes, as the team that builds and runs your integration. Fluidlabs is a Docusign Build IAM Specialized Partner. NetSuite for Docusign IAM is in development at Fluidlabs, and we have published no SuiteApp. A private integration calls NetSuite's REST web services with OAuth 2.0, the method Oracle prefers for new integrations, and adds a SuiteScript script when the process starts from a NetSuite event.
Can a Docusign workflow call another system's API without a custom build?
Yes, when the other system's API fits the step. On qualifying IAM plans, such as IAM Professional and above, Docusign Workflow Builder has a Make a Web Request step, and Docusign installs the HTTP app the step needs. The step sends GET, POST or PUT requests to another system's API. The Docusign guide "Configure a Make a Web Request Step" lists Basic Auth connections, and the Docusign overview, "Connect to Any Service Using Web Requests", also lists OAuth 2.0 client credentials. If your system's API accepts one of those connections and each call is one of those requests, a workflow can call it. We check that on the scoping call. A custom build covers other sign-in methods and request types, and work that runs outside a workflow.
How does Fluidlabs price a custom integration?
We agree a fixed price in a written scope before work starts, then a monthly hosting plan. You see both numbers in the same document. Nothing bills hourly.
Who hosts and maintains what Fluidlabs builds?
Fluidlabs does. The engineers who build a private app or integration run it, monitor it and patch it. You choose the US region, the EU region or both, and your data stays there. Docusign and the other publishers on this page run and support their own public apps. The security and compliance section on this page has our certificate and agreements to download, and a form to request our security overview.
